Here’s the story on how it all went down:
We got pregnant. (Shocking).
We decided we would do another home birth.
Twelve weeks in we discovered there was not one, but two babies when we went for our NT ultrasound. (Life changing).
This was followed by tears, laughter, swearing (that would be me), shock and more tears. I’m pretty sure I bit my hand. Then I asked the technician if he was sure that was my uterus we were looking at on the wall.
We both said it was impossible.
The doctor asked if it was natural.
We practically screamed yes. Then repeated that it was impossible.
The doctor informed us that it was a 1 in 90 chance.
Then we became lost in the statistics and finally understood why I was so completely hungry all of the time.
